My neighbor Colleen lives a few houses down form me, and she and her husband met with Brandon from REC to review the solar proposal for their house. This is what she wrote to me--unsolicited!--and thanks very much Colleen for letting me share this:
.....we're thinking of doing the Sun Run route, seems the most logical, especially given that we've no plans to move anytime soon or ever for that matter. We got our estimate from Brandon from REC and one of his co-workers (name escapes me) and we were really impressed with his knowledge, their track record and what seemed like very straightforward and conservative numbers. I work as a computer consultant/programmer and a sign of a good one is when you tell a customer what to expect in such a way that you are almost bound to exceed expectations. That's the feeling I got off them. They'd rather guestimate low and have you be happy than promise you something that might not "deliver."
I was really pleased to get Colleen's feedback about working with REC--anyone else out there ready to give me more feedback?

This is so wonderful. We are one of the first homes to purchase solar through the SJ Dwntn project and I can happily say it's been a great experience. There have been REC guys working on our roof the past two days (in the rain) making exceptional progress. The team is friendly, helpful, very hard working and show up on time every day. I keep braving the cold and rain just to see all the exciting progress.
Go Solar San Jose!
