First Installation Update 3

And now the dramatic conclusion to our installation story- here come the panels. Despite the rain, REC installed the entire system in just 4 days. We have been delighted at every step in the process. Larry, our project manager methodically communicated what to expect and when. Alex, Scott and Goncolo, who did the actual work, were superb. REC's professionalism and committment to quality have thoroughly impressed Lynette and I.

Here's the box that consolidates all the DC inputs from the panels and sends it on to the inverter for converstion to AC.

Ooooo, Ahhhhh. And for the first time in days, the sun came out and stayed out, just in time to test the system.

I was at work at the time, but I'm pretty sure I heard my wife shout for joy as she watched the PG&E meter actually running backwards. Here's a picture of our in home monitor recording the output of our very own solar power plant for the first time. Next steps, final inspection then PG&E connection.
We hope you will join us soon.
